Where Every Voice Matters

At Parlo Speech Lab, we believe every child deserves to find their voice and flourish. Guided by our mission to empower children through individualized care, we provide evidence-based pediatric speech, language, and feeding therapy in El Paso, Texas and Horizon City. Through our holistic, patient-centered approach, we partner with families and tailor sessions to each child’s unique needs and interests. In our warm and playful environment, therapy feels like fun—helping children build strong communication skills with confidence.
Whether your child is a toddler beginning to babble or a teen working on social skills, our certified speech-language pathologists are here to guide and support them every step of the way.

Articulation Disorders

Children with articulation disorders may substitute, omit, add, or distort speech sounds, making their speech difficult to understand. Our therapists use play-based and evidence-based approaches to help your child learn accurate speech sound production.

Phonological Disorders

Phonological disorders involve predictable speech sound errors affecting entire classes of sounds. Therapy focuses on helping children understand sound patterns and apply correct rules across words.

Language Disorders

These include both expressive (speaking) and receptive (understanding) language difficulties. We help children develop vocabulary, grammar, comprehension, and storytelling skills using engaging, evidence-based methods.

Pragmatic Disorders (Social Communication)

Pragmatic disorders affect how a child uses language in social situations. We teach turn-taking, topic maintenance, body language awareness, and more through role-playing, social stories, and structured interactions.

Fluency Disorders (Stuttering & Cluttering)

Children who stutter or clutter may have trouble speaking smoothly. They might repeat sounds or words (repetitions), stretch out sounds (prolongations), get stuck before speaking (blocks), talk too quickly, leave out sounds or syllables, or speak in a way that feels disorganized or hard to follow.

Voice Disorders

If your child sounds hoarse, breathy, or nasal, they may have a voice disorder. We provide voice therapy that teaches safe vocal techniques to prevent strain and promote healthy speech.

Feeding Difficulties

Feeding difficulties may involve sensory issues, motor challenges, or oral aversion. Using the SOS Approach to Feeding and other proven methods, we help children explore, tolerate, and eat a wider variety of foods.

Swallowing Disorders (Pediatric Dysphagia)

Children with dysphagia may cough, gag, or struggle with safe swallowing. We provide personalized therapy to strengthen oral-motor skills and ensure swallowing efficiency.
